The purpose of the works is the construction of a building to be used as a Fire Station, executing the facilities of the Foral Service of Fire Prevention and Extinction and Rescue (S.P.E.I.S.) located on a plot of 6,509.96 m2 in the Municipality of Arratzu and providing a connection with the BI-2238 road.

The architectural program is structured through two fundamental elements.

  • The first, the building that houses the Park’s administrative, sports and residential uses, developed on two floors in a free-standing block with a flat roof. A ventilated façade solution has been adopted based on metal parts with profiles on the general façade, and with an exterior lining of the building’s pillars and a blind façade area in the warehouse area and party wall.
  • The second, the garage itself, attached to the aforementioned building, with access through two facades in laminated wood roof topped with pre-lacquered sheet metal and translucent skylight, supported by rectangular concrete pillars.

The necessary urbanization works are also contemplated. The most significant elements are: demolition, demolition, earthworks (excavation and backfilling), installations (water supply, sustainable drainage network, sewage network, electrical power, telecommunications [telephone and internal park communications], gas, street lighting and irrigation network), pavements and paving, breakwater walls, landscaped areas, signage, open spaces and street furniture.

Of particular note is the construction of a new drinking water supply network. It is connected to the existing one, running under the sidewalks of the road network. Also, an irrigation network, in polyethylene pipe, connected to the general one, of ductile cast iron. The rainwater and sewage collection network by means of a separate system, with 200 mm PVC piping, with automatic jointing, and the execution of an electrical power connection from the new Transformer Station required by Iberdrola to be executed.

Finally, with regard to the accesses to the enclosure that houses the building, it has been planned to build an access on the BI-2238 road to serve the new fire station in the Barrutia neighborhood. For this purpose, two access/exit wedges have been built, the roadway of the foral road has been widened and the bus stop has been set back. In addition, a wall has been built on both sides of the access. In addition, a network of traffic lights has been included that operate when the park receives an emergency call, programming it to operate in normal situations in amber, but in emergency circumstances it will turn red to force vehicles on the main road to stop.
