The purpose of the Construction Project is the definition of the necessary works to carry out the removal of the existing level crossing at Bedia station (PK 14+091 of the Bilbao – Donostia line) and the design of a new parking lot next to the station.

The Bedikolea level crossing is located on the Bilbao-Donostia line, at PK 14+091, and it is a pedestrian crossing to access one of the platforms. Therefore, a footbridge and its accesses with stairs and elevators or ramps will be projected, as well as all the auxiliary elements necessary for its operation (power supply, remote control, etc.).

The projected proposal will maintain the circulation of rail traffic during the works and will study the activities required to raise the level crossing, both superstructure and railway facilities, signalling and the adoption of the enclosure of the track in the environment of the level crossing.

In addition, the project will include the construction of a parking lot in the plot adjacent to the station, with the corresponding accesses and its adaptation to the new requirements of electric vehicle charging.
